I have never had a problem getting an erection, but did have a problem with the firmness of my penis when aroused. It made it difficult to make love as it tended to bend when I was thrusting in and out. I decided to order some Viagra to see if it helped, and it sure does. The effect takes around 15 to 30 minutes to kick in, but I now have a rock hard penis, which easily satisfies the missus. I would recommend drinking plenty of water though, as it can give you a headache.
